Unidentified John Doe
February 2, 1991 - Washington
In collaboration with the Skagit County Coroner’s Office in Washington, Genetics Uncovered is pleased to announce that this case will proceed with disinterment once funds are collected. A crowdfunding initiative has been launched to finance the associated costs with the disinterment.
On February 25, 1991, an unidentified male with black hair was discovered in the Skagit River. Lead shot from an old injury (estimated to have occurred 2-6 months prior to death or longer) was retrieved from the vicinity of the right knee. He was attired in dark blue or black Bermuda-style shorts and men’s underwear, with a red bandana tied around his waist. His height was recorded at 4’10".
If this case needs to be funded for investigative genetic genealogy, Genetics Uncovered will set up another crowdfunding for the costs associated to get a profile. If that is the case, Genetics Uncovered will undertake investigative genetic genealogy to ascertain the identity of this individual.
