Genetics Uncovered, LLC, based in Cheyenne, Wyoming was established in June of 2021. We are advocates for Wyoming Missing Persons and Unidentified Persons across the United States. We are committed to the connections and partnerships we make in order to give these the individuals the attention they deservce. It is extremely important, so they are NOT FORGOTTEN. We are their voice.
This interactive map highlights unidentified individuals that were discovered through our Not Forgotten Research Initiative, and then entered into the NamUs database. You’ll also find Wyoming cold cases featured here. Once you enlarge the map, use the menu on the left to switch between viewing unidentified individuals and Wyoming cold cases. We’ll continue to update this map regularly as new information becomes available.
Consultations
As an avid volunteer in the past with missing persons, I would come across unidentified individuals. It was then I realized the potential of Investigative Genetic Genealogy (IGG) and the impact it can have on cold cases.
There are thousands just waiting to be identified and their families deserve to have some form of closure.

What is a DNA Search Angel? A DNA Search Angel is someone that volunteers his or her time and energy to help others find their family.

Not Forgotten Research Initiative
The Not Forgotten Research Initiative is a project we officially started in January of 2025 after spending the previous 18 months working to get Motel Mike and Egbert Eddie into the NamUs database.
This Research Initiative involves researching and compiling data of unidentified individuals that have not been added into the NamUs database, and working with different agencies across the United States to determine if these individuals have since been identified. If they have not been identified, we work with the agency to get them included into the NamUs database.
